Frequently Asked Questions
Is this suitable for an exposed pool deck?
Not our first recommendation. Deep loose cushions cannot be collected and stored in seconds the way a thin pad can, so on a deck with hourly turnover they become a labour problem. This piece is specified for shaded terraces, cabanas, spa lounges and covered lobby areas where furniture stays in place. Covers are solution-dyed acrylic over quick-dry reticulated foam so they drain and dry properly, but the specification assumes shade rather than all-day direct sun.
What is the plinth base made from, and why recessed?
The base is a separate frame finished darker than the cord, set back from the cushion line so the upholstery reads as floating rather than sitting on a box. Low feet lift it clear of the deck so water cannot sit against the frame and air dries underneath. Because the plinth is a separate assembly, it can be refinished or replaced without touching the woven arms — the two parts wear at very different rates.
Can the rope colour, cushion fabric and base finish be specified separately?
All three, and the combination changes the piece completely — bleached cord with off-white cushions reads coastal, charcoal cord with a black plinth reads urban. Cord colour is chosen independently of fabric, and the fan pattern can be adjusted. Colour changes carry no MOQ increase; a custom weave pattern requires a sample approval round and adds roughly [7-10] days to lead time. Cushions and covers are reorderable separately, as they reach end of life several cycles before the frame.
