Frequently Asked Questions
Will the plank base mark or sink into decking and soft ground?
No. Because the load spreads along the full length of two wide runners instead of concentrating on four small feet, ground pressure is a fraction of a conventional leg design. On grass and sand the lounger stays level instead of tipping as one leg sinks. On timber decking there are no point loads to dent the boards, and no metal glides that could stain or scratch. This is the main reason properties with mixed surfaces — pool surround, lawn, deck — specify a platform base.
How do staff move these around a pool deck?
They slide. The runners are shaped to glide across tile, stone and timber, so one person can reposition a lounger without lifting 40kg. For properties that reset a deck every morning this is a meaningful labour saving over loungers that have to be carried or wheeled. If your surface is rough concrete or exposed aggregate we can supply the runners with a protective strip applied — tell us the deck material when you enquire.
