Frequently Asked Questions
Is it comfortable without a cushion?
The comfort comes from the curve rather than padding. The S profile is set to support the lower back and lift the knees, so weight distributes along the whole body instead of pressing at two points — the same principle as a moulded shell chair. The mesh has slight give under load, which softens contact further. Guests use these with a towel. A fitted cushion can be supplied if you want the option, but the geometry is designed to work bare.
What is the frame material and finish, and how does it handle pool chemicals?
Frame and mesh are metal with a powder-coated finish, and the coating is what determines service life in a chlorinated or coastal environment. We specify coating thickness and can supply salt spray test results for the finish on request — [X] hours to ISO 9227 as standard, with a higher specification available for beachfront and direct-spray positions. Colour is fully specifiable, not limited to white. Because there are no fasteners or moving parts, there is nothing to corrode independently of the coating.
How does it ship and store, and is the ottoman included?
The ottoman is supplied with the lounger as standard and can also be ordered separately. Both stack, which makes this range unusually efficient to ship and store compared with plank or panel-base loungers — useful for rooftop properties with limited off-season storage. Pieces ship assembled with no hardware kits or on-site assembly. Send us your quantity and we will return a container loading plan and exact stack height.
